Together

Much was determined by the fact that, after our father's death, our mother decided to keep the family farm. It was a hard time for her, bringing us up and looking after the animals and the vineyard. She didn't want what she and my father had built up to fall apart. In these circumstances, it was natural for us to do everything together, whether it was pruning, canopy management or harvesting. That hasn't changed since then and it means a lot to me personally to be able to work with my brother and our sons to this day.

Who we work for

For me, winemaking has never been an end in itself. At every stage of our work, from vineyard cultivation to winemaking, we work with the people who will consume our wines in mind. It is important to please them. Of course, wine only comes out of the cellar if we like it, otherwise it would not bear our name. There is no denying that wine competitions are good feedback, but for me the most important thing is that wine lovers appreciate our wines.

Originality

My father’s generation already had a passion for innovation and I feel that this commitment to uniqueness is something that we, the younger generation, have. Our winery has never tried to imitate others. When, after the change of regime, most wineries started to think in terms of international grape varieties, we focused on local values, and that's how we were among the first to start bottling Irsai Olivér, Cserszegi Fűszeres. We continue this commitment and in recent years we have also made great efforts to promote another Hungarian grape variety, Generosa, and we are exploring new facets of the historic Ezerjó grape variety, for example in the sparkling wine genre.

Innovation

It may sound clichéd, when you say it, but tradition and innovation, generations working together, permeate our daily lives. Not a day goes by without seeing images of our winemaking ancestors working the same land as we do. We respect tradition as the distillation of generations of information, but we channel our own knowledge and experience from international wineries into current trends and technologies that younger people are more receptive to. We love what we do together, but the greatest feeling is when the wines are united with our family name in a 'love brand'. A quality brand that is loved and consumed by hundreds of thousands of people across the country every day.
